My client are seeking a proactive and determined
Data Analyst
to join their transport operations team in Antwerp. You will play a pivotal role in turning operational data into actionable insights, helping to optimise fleet performance, route planning, passenger flows and sustainability metrics. You will work closely with operations, logistics, and planning stakeholders to influence business decisions and support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean and validate data from various sources (GPS/telemetry from vehicles, ticketing systems, traffic sensors, public transit data, scheduling systems)
Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle utilisation, on-time performance, passenger load, fuel/energy consumption, emissions, and cost per trip
Conduct exploratory and predictive analyses to identify trends, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities (e.g., route optimisation, shift scheduling, fleet deployment)
Work with stakeholders to define analytical requirements, translate business questions into data \& technical solutions
Qualifications \& Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
2–5 years’ experience in a data/analytics role (transport, logistics or mobility sector preferred)
Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI)
Good proficiency in Python for data processing and analytics
Familiarity with ETL/data-pipeline concepts and ideally some exposure to big data or cloud environments
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; French is a plus
Strong organisational skills and comfort working in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment
Package
Gross annual salary:
up to 82,000 based upon experience
