We're currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join us remotely and help take us to the next level. Our goal is strong: to establish Ready or Not as the quintessential FPS of our time.
Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer at VOID Interactive, you will play a critical role in standardizing and automating our development and release workflows across multiple platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, technical designers, QA, and production to ensure our CI/CD systems, source control, development and production environments, and deployment pipelines are robust, scalable, and efficient.
This role requires a proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced game development environments and is passionate about automation, optimisation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Standardise and automate artefact generation across multiple platforms
Develop, manage, and continuously improve end-to-end release processes
Optimise source control workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Manage and assist in microservice development and deployment life cycles
Maintain and improve build systems and infrastructure reliability
Implement and manage configuration management solutions
Apply and enforce basic security best practices across pipelines and infrastructure
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline and infrastructure issues efficiently
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and production teams
Document processes and contribute to operational best practices
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3+ years experience in a DevOps, Build Engineer, or similar role
Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of source control systems and workflow optimisation
Experience administering Perforce
Experience with configuration management solutions
Experience managing microservices and deployment pipelines
Knowledge of basic security principles (access control, secrets management, pipeline security)
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Clear and effective communication skills
Ability to work autonomously in a remote-first environment
Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)
Experience optimising Unreal Engine build times
Knowledge of multiple programming languages such as C++ and Python
Experience working in a game development environment
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
Experience supporting multi-platform releases (PC, console)
