Your New Role:

As the Manager, Business Analysis, you will lead business analysis functions across diverse enterprise initiatives, ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, translated into actionable solutions, and aligned with Warner Bros. Discovery’s data, AI, and automation strategies.

This role is pivotal in bridging business stakeholders and technology teams, driving clarity, alignment, and measurable business value from projects. Based in Mexico, you will guide a team of Business Analysts while collaborating globally across product, engineering, AI/ML, and business teams to deliver data-driven, AI-enabled, and process optimization initiatives.

Your New Accountabiities:

Business Analysis \& Requirements Management

Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for complex business and technology initiatives.

Translate high-level business objectives into functional and non-functional specifications.

Ensure requirements are testable, traceable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

Champion structured analysis techniques, user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models.

2. Team Leadership \& Development

Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts, ensuring consistent quality and alignment to enterprise priorities.

Build analytical capabilities in the team through training, guidance, and coaching.

Foster a culture of critical thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

3. Stakeholder Engagement \& Collaboration

Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, aligning business needs with technical solutions.

Partner with Product, AI/ML, and Engineering teams to prioritize initiatives and define success criteria.

Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and business reviews to ensure stakeholder alignment.

Bridge communication gaps between business leaders and technical teams, ensuring shared understanding.

4. Process Improvement \& Value Realization

Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and data-driven enhancements.

Ensure requirements translate into measurable business value and ROI.

Support business case development, benefits tracking, and post-implementation value assessment.

5. Governance, Standards \& Risk Management

Establish and enforce BA standards, templates, and best practices across projects.

Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, security, and data management standards.

Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.

Qualifications \& Experiences:

Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

Professional certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile BA) are a plus.

Professional Experience:

7–10 years of professional experience in business analysis, with strong exposure to data, AI, or digital transformation projects.

At least 3+ years of managerial/leadership experience guiding Business Analyst teams.

Proven ability to lead requirements for large-scale, complex enterprise programs.

Experience in Media, Entertainment, or Technology industries preferred.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and product-oriented delivery.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in SQL for data querying, analysis, and validation, with hands-on experience in Snowflake and/or Databricks environments.

Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data governance within large-scale analytics ecosystems.

Experience implementing AI and ML (Machine Learning) projects, leveraging automation to enhance analytics workflows and deliver intelligent, data-driven insights across business functions.

Skilled in data visualization and reporting using platforms such as Power BI and Tableau, with a focus on standardized KPIs and executive reporting.

Familiarity with modern analytics architectures, including semantic layers, metadata management, and integration with AI and reporting platforms

Other Skills:

Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Strong project management skills, with experience in overseeing end-to-end automation projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex automation strategies to non-technical audiences.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.

A proactive, self-motivated approach to identifying opportunities for automation and driving their implementation.
