Your New Role:

To provide direction, management, organization and reporting of project workstreams related to the implementation of production technology projects globally, including general application based, transition, transformation and operational when required.

Daily activities will vary slightly based on the type of project being managed but will include management of vendors, technical architects, analysts, testers, engineers and support teams, as well as research, analysis, requirements elicitation and process modelling leading to recommendations of business efficiencies and performance improvements.

This position requires a candidate who is confident at communicating effectively at senior management level and to a wide, diverse team, is flexible, pro-active, and efficient, organized and can work using their own initiative. Additionally, the ability to juggle multiple tasks from multiple individuals and to be one step ahead is essential.

Your Role Accountabilities:

OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Partners with the business to ensure appropriate usage of technology solutions.

Document and develop the project plan tracking costs, scope, schedule, and quality for production technology project activities

Responsible to research, elicit, model and document business processes, use cases, requirements and to formulate and recommend strategic process reengineering efficiencies and business performance improvements.

Responsible to provide domain expertise to solution partners during the project life cycle to ensure developed solutions align with strategic business roadmaps.

Responsible to develop cost benefits cases and to analyze and measure realization of post-deployment benefits.

Responsible to create detailed User Acceptance Test plans, organize and conduct User Acceptance Testing and Training activities, and to ensure successful delivery and deployment of high-quality technology solutions with high rates of user adoption.

Collaboration with technical leads, project managers, senior management and stakeholders, ensuring that all project activities are effectively recorded and tracked.

Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures.

Track activities against all milestones and deliverables in relation to the production technology works, ensuring effective personal leadership and delivery focus for all projects.

Chair site meetings / conference calls and distribute minutes to all project team members.

Organise and direct cross-functional teams in developing and implementing the agreed project deliverables; also provides task direction to project members.

Work with support organizations and partner personnel to ensure their involvement in tasks required to deliver the project (e.g. Requirements Gathering, Technical Support, Organizational Readiness, Help Desk activities, UAT, etc.).

Manages escalations to executive levels as required, maintains the project business case, prepares and presents readiness assessments.

STRATEGY

Solution Scope – Gains consensus on requirements and proposes initiative scope and priority in alignment with business strategy.

Solution ROI – Develops business cases to support initiatives and advocates for solutions that maximize strategic value to the business.

Solution Fit – Employs continual analysis to identify and escalate required post-stabilization actions.

Qualifications \& Experiences:

Technical

Has working knowledge of recognized Project Management process groups such as Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing.

Professional working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting and personnel in order to manage team tasks and related business issues.

Elicitation and documentation of use cases, user stories, functional requirements, and functional specifications.

Definition of current and future states and identification of gaps.

Decomposition, documentation, and communication of information at various levels of detail using best practice business analysis techniques and artifacts (e.g., flow charts, wireframes, screen mockups, etc.) for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Identification of process inefficiencies and improvements, with a high proficiency in process re-engineering, process modeling and alignment with business strategy.

Measurement, evaluation, and prioritization of scope items according to business strategic plans

Development of accurate and detailed business cases/ROI analyses.

Creation of functional impact analyses (on end-user experience, functional departments, systems, and business processes) for all new capabilities.

Knowledge of IT infrastructure \& production technology and the ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.

Functional

Understanding of outsourced service provider resources, managing remote teams to successfully deliver projects.

Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, partners, and other departments.

Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with Services management to ensure appropriate resources are available to the project.

Functional knowledge of the International Television business area - highly desirable.

Excellent grasp of business and technology best-practices.

Strong customer relationship skills, with focus on service orientation

Resolution of large and complex issues in creative and efficient ways; handling multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.

Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to effectively work through abstract concepts.

Ability to work successfully across organizational lines and influence outcomes.

Independent preparation of presentation quality documents and Sr. Management level summaries.

High degree of independence and self-motivation; enthusiasm for challenging work and work under time constraints

Ability to manage dependencies, and risks associated with strategic technology deliverables.

Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including ability to act as Product Owner Agent on Agile teams.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS-Project, MS-Outlook, MS-Visio, MS-Access, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Word.

General

Demonstrable experience in delivering largescale Infrastructure. Transition \& Transformation Projects is essential.

Demonstrable experience of working as part of an international team on complex projects collating multiple sources of information.

Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.

Demonstrable experience of working within technical environments.

Strong familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project.

Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Strong written and oral communication skills to enable effective communication with all levels of personnel.

Proactively anticipates project related problems and can recommend sound solutions and contingency plans.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressured, fast-changing landscape is essential.

Work experience in the Entertainment \& Media industry desired.

Ability to organize and schedule work effectively.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Capacity to work flexible hours, including working across multiple time zones when necessary and possible extra time when necessary

Well-organized \& disciplined, with attention to detail is crucial.

The role may require some level of international travel

Education/Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent required.

ITIL foundation certification essential, ITIL Managers Certificate preferred.

Project Management Certification preferred (PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalent).

Business Analysis Training and/or Certification highly desirable (e.g., IIBA)

Not Required but preferred experience:

Postgraduate degree or equivalent

5+ years of post-graduate experience in a similar role in a related field (media or entertainment)

Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)

Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
