JOB DESCRIPTION
WATA Software is looking for a Senior Java Microservice Developer to join our client’s long-term project in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
The project focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing scalable microservice-based systems for enterprise-grade applications in the insurance domain.
You will collaborate closely with both local and international teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient backend services..
What will you do?
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for large-scale enterprise systems.
Collaborate with front-end and DevOps teams to integrate APIs and ensure system scalability and performance.
Participate in the architecture and design of new features, applying best practices for code quality, reusability, and performance.
Implement unit testing, perform code reviews, and support continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and propose sustainable technical solutions.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving overall team performance.
Work closely with Product Owner and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
JOB REQUIREMENT
5+ years of experience in backend development using Java (Spring Boot).
Strong expertise in Microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and Clean Code principles.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).
Proficient in using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS / GCP / Azure.
Experience with message queues or event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) is a strong plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in Agile development environments.
