About the Opportunity
We are building a
cloud-native platform of microservices
that communicate via event streams. As a
Development Engineer
, you will contribute to implementing and maintaining these services, including:
Modeling domain events
Publishing/consuming events
Composing workflows across services
You will work closely with your peers to understand customer requirements and translate them into functional software solutions. Your work will span from
event-driven services to customer-facing interfaces
, ensuring that our users have seamless, reliable, and impactful experiences.
This is a remote position open to applicants in Canada.
Job Duties
Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications and systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and efficient code
Troubleshoot and debug software issues
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality
Create and maintain technical documentation
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development
Build influence within a microservice’s design and implementation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Growing professional expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems
Ability to complete work within team-defined guidelines
Skilled at fixing moderate, well-scoped issues
Strong collaboration skills and ability to build internal/external working relationships
Capable of working independently with general supervision
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in software engineering
The base salary range for this position is $99,000 - $110,000 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
