About the job:
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will support the team in maintaining system reliability, ensuring smooth deployments, and improving internal processes. This is a hands\-on, learning\-focused role ideal for someone eager to grow in the DevOps field. You will contribute to solving technical issues, maintaining system monitoring, and optimizing infrastructure workflows while collaborating closely with Developers, QA, and senior team members. A strong emphasis is placed on communication, willingness to learn, and consistency in applying good practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of reliable backup strategies to ensure recoverability and system resilience.
Regularly check monitoring tools to help detect issues before they impact end\-users.
Analyze server logs and flag anomalies or recurring patterns for deeper investigation.
Support in maintaining and troubleshooting WordPress and PHP systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
Help investigate and resolve issues in GitHub Actions pipelines related to CI/CD processes.
Follow team workflows, document actions clearly, and seek feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure transparent decision\-making and implementation alignment.
Participate in the standardization of deployment processes and contribute to maintaining clean and reproducible environments.
What we're looking for:
You are a junior\-level DevOps enthusiast with foundational knowledge of
Apache, Nginx, MySQL
, and
GitHub Actions
.
You have basic experience with
Linux systems
and can navigate the command line with confidence.
You’re a curious and proactive team player who values clear communication, transparent documentation, and continuous learning.
You’re open to feedback, eager to grow technically (especially in monitoring and log analysis), and thrive in collaborative, supportive environments.
You are familiar with
Git workflows
, commit discipline, and collaborative coding environments.
Familiarity with
Cloud platforms
like
GCP
is a plus, but not required — willingness to learn is key.
Nice to Have (Not Required):
Exposure to containerization tools (Docker)
Awareness of CI/CD principles and YAML\-based pipeline definitions
Experience or interest in WordPress, Bedrock, caching systems, or basic scripting (Bash, Python)
