At Weheat, we’re on a mission to make heating cleaner, smarter and more affordable for every home. We re-engineer heat pumps from the circuit board up because we believe this product deserves radical innovation in the energy transition. Our software is just as crucial: Weheat Intelligence takes care of the complexity so homeowners don’t have to, maximising savings and CO₂ reduction.

From our smart factory in Eindhoven we design and build our own heat pumps and core technology. In our new hub in the centre of Utrecht we focus on everything the user sees: our consumer app, installer app and installer portal, plus the commercial and support teams. Eindhoven is the high-tech engine; Utrecht is the customer-facing heart.

What you’ll work on

As Frontend Software Engineer you make it effortless for people to work with our products. Your interfaces help installers commission systems without friction, and help homeowners understand comfort, costs and CO₂ easily.

You’ll work across our digital products (the consumer app, installer app and installer portal) together with backend engineers, designers and colleagues from our Expert Center and commercial teams. One moment you’re refining an installation flow based on feedback from the field, the next you’re shaping a dashboard that visualizes real-time and historical data in a way that even non-technical users immediately understand. Being in Utrecht, close to support and sales, you see first-hand how your work lands with real users and you iterate quickly. And through our link with Eindhoven, you’re never far from the actual devices your code talks to.

What you bring

We care more about your mindset and skills than a perfect checklist, but if we would it would look like this:

You have 3+ year of experience building frontend applications.

You enjoy working with TypeScript and JavaScript in modern frontend stacks.

You’re comfortable integrating APIs and turning (real-time) data into clear, visual interfaces.

You care about speed, simplicity and smart UX: fast apps, clean flows, minimal clutter.

You chase efficiency and think in solutions: understand the problem, choose a sensible approach, ship and learn.

You communicate directly and honestly and like colleagues who do the same.

You like high-trust, high-ownership environments where you pick things up end-to-end instead of waiting for detailed tickets.

You live within reach of Utrecht and are happy in an on-site culture as we believe our best work happens together, on site.

You’re comfortable in English, Dutch is a plus.
