About the Company
We’re looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our team on-site in Hamilton. This is a hands-on senior role working on a high-volume eCommerce platform integrated with ERP systems (including MYOB Acumatica). You’ll be part of a close-knit, in-office development team building and maintaining production systems used by B2B and B2C businesses across New Zealand, Australia, and the USA. This role is best suited to someone who values collaboration, whiteboard discussions, and working closely with product, implementation, and support teams in person.
About the Role
This is a hands-on senior role working on a high-volume eCommerce platform integrated with ERP systems (including MYOB Acumatica).
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PHP applications and integrations
Build and extend WordPress / WooCommerce functionality
Develop ERP integrations (orders, inventory, pricing, customers)
Work with REST APIs, webhooks, and background processing
Improve performance, security, and data integrity across the platform
Review code and mentor junior developers
Collaborate daily with on-site product, implementation, and support teams
Qualifications
5+ years professional PHP development experience
Required Skills
Strong experience with WordPress and WooCommerce
Solid understanding of APIs and system integrations
Experience with MySQL / MariaDB
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working full-time on-site in Hamilton
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating with ERP systems (especially MYOB Acumatica)
Experience building SaaS or multi-tenant platforms
Experience with performance optimisation and scalable architectures
Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
