What’s the role?
As the AEM Engineer you will work on the strategic migration from on-prem AEM to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS). The role requires deep AEM knowledge, strong Java development skills, and hands-on experience with Edge Delivery Services, enabling faster content delivery across public-facing digital platforms. You will also play a key role in supporting headless content delivery to Westpac’s suite of digital banking applications and websites.
This role is crucial in supporting the bank’s digital transformation, customer engagement strategy, and marketing technology uplift across secure and scalable platforms .
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the migration of AEM from on-premises to AEM as a Cloud Service, aligned with Westpac’s cloud-first strategy
Design scalable AEM architectures for headless, hybrid, and traditional delivery models
Optimise performance using Adobe Edge Delivery Services and CDN strategies
Integrate AEM with enterprise services and Adobe Experience Cloud tools (Analytics, Target, Assets)
Develop and oversee AEM components, workflows, and GraphQL endpoints using Java, HTL, and Sling
Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and governance teams to ensure compliance and technical integrity

What do I need?
Extensive AEM experience, including cloud migrations from on-prem to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)
Strong Java development skills within AEM (OSGi, Sling Models, Servlets)
Expertise in Edge Delivery Services, CDN strategies, and high-traffic content optimization
Skilled in headless delivery using Content Fragments and GraphQL APIs
Proficient in Adobe Cloud Manager, CI/CD pipelines, and integration with marketing tools
Experienced in regulated environments (e.g., banking), with strong stakeholder management and compliance knowledge
