About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Staff Software Engineer, EngEx (Engineering Experience), to join our remote-first technology team. In this critical role, you will operate at the intersection of multiple engineering disciplines, developing systems, processes, and tools that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and quality of our mobile (iOS \& Android), web, and backend teams. You will play a pivotal role within our Engineering Experience group, responsible for designing and maintaining test infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation strategies that enable our teams to ship high-quality software rapidly and confidently. Your collaboration will span across developers, infrastructure engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our products are robust, testable, and scalable. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence testing culture, drive automation initiatives, and mentor engineers, all while supporting Omada’s mission to inspire lifelong health.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or SDET roles

Proven experience building and maintaining automated tests and CI/CD workflows

Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Maestro, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, or Cypress

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages including Ruby, Shell/Bash, Python

Familiarity with mobile app testing, API testing, and web testing methodologies

Experience integrating and managing third-party QA and monitoring tools

Strong collaborative skills to work across multiple teams and stakeholders

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test infrastructure supporting mobile, web, and backend teams

Lead the evolution of CI/CD pipelines, test strategies, and testing coverage tooling

Create reusable testing frameworks and playbooks to accelerate team delivery without compromising quality

Integrate third-party testing and monitoring tools for UI, API, and performance testing

Collaborate closely with platform teams, application engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to embed testing early in the development lifecycle

Develop and lead testing strategies for critical projects, proactively identifying and mitigating risks through automation

Promote best practices around testability, observability, and release hygiene across engineering teams

Mentor engineers in writing effective tests and adopting a holistic approach to quality assurance

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing infrastructure and processes
