Role Overview:

The Social \& Influence Product Manager will be the driving force behind the technological evolution of INFLUENCE® by WPP Media in Australia, ensuring our proprietary AI and tech solutions empower our teams and clients to dominate the creator economy. This pivotal role bridges the gap between our Australian influencer marketing specialists, local and global WPP product teams, and our dedicated development teams in India and APAC.

You will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and optimisation of our core AI platforms –

Influencer AI

and

Brands AI

– working closely with our India-based developers. Furthermore, you will lead the charge on new product initiatives like

Trendsetter AI

, ensuring our technology remains at the forefront of social and influencer best practices. This role demands a proactive leader who can translate complex market needs into clear, actionable technology specifications, fostering seamless collaboration across diverse global and regional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and market-leading solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Product Leadership \& Development (Influencer AI \& Brands AI):

Own the product roadmap and backlog for

Influencer AI

and

Brands AI

, driving continuous improvement and feature development.

Work directly with India-based development teams to translate strategic vision into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs for our core AI platforms.

Monitor performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on these products to maximize their impact on creator selection, campaign optimisation, and client reporting.

New Product Incubation \& Strategy (e.g., Trendsetter AI):

Lead the discovery, definition, and initial development phases for new, strategic product initiatives, such as

Trendsetter AI

Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to identify opportunities for innovation within the creator economy.

Develop compelling business cases and product strategies for new features and products, aligning them with INFLUENCE® by WPP Media's long-term vision and market leadership goals.

Global \& Local Best Practice Integration:

Act as the primary conduit between WPP's global product teams and the Australian market, identifying opportunities to localise and adapt global social and influencer best practices into our technology solutions.

Collaborate with global counterparts to share insights, leverage existing solutions, and contribute Australian market needs to the global product roadmap.

Ensure our local technology solutions are aligned with global standards while addressing unique regional requirements and opportunities.

Work with local / global WPP Product Teams to integrate existing tech into wider WPP Workflow \& AI solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration \& Communication:

Serve as the central point of contact for technology specifications, facilitating clear and transparent communication between the Australian INFLUENCE® team, APAC Product, global WPP product teams, and development teams in India.

Facilitate workshops, sprint reviews, and strategic planning sessions to gather requirements, present progress, and align diverse stakeholders.

Champion the voice of the user (our internal teams and clients) throughout the product development process.

Feasibility \& Prioritisation:

Collaborate closely with development teams to assess the technical feasibility, effort, and dependencies of proposed features and product enhancements.

Lead the prioritisation of product backlog items based on strategic value, market demand, technical feasibility, and resource availability.

Ensure that product specifications are realistic, achievable, and deliver maximum value within defined timelines and budgets.

Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager

in a technology-driven environment, ideally with a focus on AI/ML products or complex data platforms.

Demonstrated experience managing remote development teams

, particularly in India or similar global hubs, with a strong understanding of cross-cultural communication and project management.

Deep understanding of the influencer marketing landscape, social media platforms, and the creator economy

is highly desirable.

Exceptional ability to translate complex business and market requirements into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications and user stories.

Strong project management skills, with expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and aligning diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders across different regions.

Analytical mindset with a proven ability to assess feasibility, prioritise effectively, and make data-driven decisions.

Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
