Job Description

Role Summary:

The Business Transformation Team (BTT) is the bridge between business and the IT department, with the Product team in BTT being responsible for leading the vision, direction and execution of all products. As a Product Owner, you will support BTT in managing the strategy for multiple projects, capturing detailed user stories and requirements from the business users, and communicating them effectively to the IT and development teams to ensure proper deployment and delivery to all users. The role is also responsible for assisting the Business Transformation Head and Product Lead with overall programme management, execution of critical paths across multiple project streams and transforming business processes.

Role and Responsibilities:

Define and manage the product roadmap and prioritize requirements from business stakeholders.

Gather and translate high-level business problems into detailed requirements and user stories from business users.

Communicate and collaborate with the development and QA teams about business objectives and detailed requirements to ensure the success and delivery of the product.

Understand the interdependencies of various business processes, workflow and requirements to propose and drive the implementation of functional, process and product initiatives for each transformation stage.

Drive adoption and usability of products across the organization by managing stakeholder communication, change management and training strategies.

Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment using proven methodologies.

Assist the Business Transformation Head \& Product Lead in delivering appropriate and effective executive level communication through weekly reports, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences of the BTT and internal business stakeholders.

Any other adhoc tasks as assigned by your manager.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Science or equivalent.

Experience

: 4+ years of experience working on complex agile scrum software projects, preferably in the container shipping industry.

Proven experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile and SCRUM is mandatory.

Certifications:

Certified Scrum Product Owner mandatory.

Product Ownership:

Skilled in product management best practices to manage time, quality, budget and scope for project milestones and goals.

Transformation

: Proven experience in managing transformation and process re-engineering products/applications involving software (build/buy) technology components.

Stakeholder Management:

Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders including third party vendors, internal IT and cross-functional departments.

Patient and attentive to all stakeholders, including internal team members.

Problem Solving:

Skilled in problem solving, troubleshooting \& resolution and risk mitigation.

Communication Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.

Self-motivated and autonomous; able to work well individually and in a highly collaborative team.

Interest in learning new techniques and adopting best practices.

Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, stakeholder management and excellence.

Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
