Job description
The Senior Frontend Developer will be responsible for the following:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using Next.js (App Router), ReactJS, and TypeScript.
Lead frontend architecture decisions, including Server Components, Client Components, data fetching strategies, and rendering patterns (SSR, SSG, ISR).
Build and integrate frontend applications with Headless WordPress (REST / GraphQL).
Ensure pixel-perfect UI implementation and smooth collaboration with designers.
Optimize applications for performance, SEO, accessibility, and best practices.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Conduct code reviews, enforce frontend standards, and mentor junior developers.
Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and proactively propose solutions.
Deploy and maintain frontend solutions on AWS infrastructure (CloudFront, S3, Lambda, etc.).
Maintain clean, maintainable, and testable codebases following modern FE best practices.
Your skills and experience
The Senior Frontend Developer will report directly to the Line Manager and will possess the following attributes: 5+ years of professional experience in web development, with a strong focus on Frontend*.
Expert-level proficiency in Next.js (App Router, Server Components, API Routes, performance optimization).
Strong experience with ReactJS, modern hooks, state management, and component architecture.
Excellent TypeScript skills.
Solid experience working with Headless CMS, especially Headless WordPress.
Good understanding of PHP \& WordPress customization (mainly for integration and content modeling).
Experience deploying frontend applications on AWS (CloudFront, S3, Lambda, EC2, etc.).
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and modern frontend tooling.
Deep understanding of web performance, SEO, and frontend security best practices.
Excellent English communication skills (written \& verbal).
Strong ownership mindset and ability to lead frontend initiatives.
Nice to Have
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized FE deployments.
Familiarity with monitoring \& performance tools (Datadog, New Relic, Lighthouse).
Experience with GraphQL (Apollo, WPGraphQL).
Previous experience in client-facing or consulting environments.
Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
