Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing daily operations of the IT Department
Supervise IT support staff, managing the school’s IT service ticketing system and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Provide leadership and mentoring to IT Engineers and Technicians, supporting professional growth and effective teamwork.
Plan and coordinate IT support for school-wide and special events.
Oversee IT infrastructure management including servers, networks, Active Directory, backups, firewalls, and cybersecurity measures.
Ensure compliance with the organization IT standards, policies, and AI/Next-Generation Technology framework, including data security and acceptable use.
Manage and monitor IT asset lifecycle including procurement, deployment, inventory control, maintenance and disposal.
Work closely with other school departments (academic and administrative) to align IT initiatives with organizational needs, ensuring seamless cross-department collaboration.
Generate, analyze and report IT service statistics and asset utilization to support management decision-making.
Collaborate with the Head of IT on strategic IT planning, identifying opportunities to enhance teaching \& learning with emerging technologies.
Drive digital transformation initiatives, including process automation, data visualization, and smart workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead or contribute to IT projects such as network upgrades, device deployments, cloud adoption, and security audits.
Liaise with vendors, assist with tendering processes, and advise users in evaluation and selection of IT solutions.
Ensure accurate technical and policy documentation is maintained and regularly updated.
Explore, evaluate, and introduce AI-powered tools to support both educational and administrative functions, including predictive support analytics, AI-driven teaching aids, and process automation.
Promote the adoption of innovative technologies that enhance user experience, support evidence-based decision-making, and align with organizational AI development roadmap.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree holder in Computing/Information Technology or related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of IT support and infrastructure management experience, with at least years in a supervisory or team lead position.
Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives, including cloud adoption system upgrades, workflow automation, and the integration of AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows OS, MacOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking technologies.
Good understanding of IT security principles, data protection, and backup/disaster recovery practices.
ITIL, PMP, CISSP and related professional certificates preferred.
Experience in major projects such as large-scale network deployment, cloud computing solutions, or security audits for schools will be considered a plus.
Strong leadership, supervisory, and mentoring skills with demonstrated team management experience.
Good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal/written communication in English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
Experience in cross-functional collaboration and the ability to act as a technology partner for other departments.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with good time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Customer-service oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Highly self-motivated, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
