£70,000 - £80,000 + Benefits
Remote (with monthly travel to Southampton)
Own a mature, modular PHP platform that underpins everything, from real-time analytics to leadership assessments.
This isn’t a rewrite job. It’s about owning and evolving something that already works, and making it even better.
You’ll lead by example, set the tone for engineering practices, and help shift technical expertise in-house.
No fluff, no layers of middle management - just meaningful tech and people who care.
Why you’ll love working here
High trust, low process - autonomy without chaos.
Work that directly improves people’s lives and leadership.
Private medical, quarterly team events, ELDOA, sick pay, and more.
Direct access to decision-makers and minimal blockers.
Influence culture, quality, and direction as the team scales.
The Role
Take ownership of a well-structured, business-critical PHP system with 15+ years of logic.
You’ll extend its capabilities, build integrations, mentor a growing team, and help define CI/CD, testing, and documentation standards.
There’s room to improve, but no mess to untangle.
